Breeders’ Cup is one of thoroughbred horse racing’s most prestigious events, and Sentient Jet announced a partnership that will provide equestrian enthusiasts the chance to fly directly from the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championships in San Diego to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the annual November Thoroughbred sales at Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland. Consumers will be able to purchase individual seats on the Breeders’ Cup chartered aircraft, allowing them to enjoy the weekend’s races in Southern California and still arrive in Lexington in time for the sales.

The flight is priced at $4,275 per person, and the offer includes ground transportation to San Diego International Airport and a one-way flight to Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. The flight will depart immediately following the World Championships on Saturday, November 4 at 8:30 PM Pacific Time, with an expected flight time of three hours and 45 minutes. According to Google flights, the best commercial alternative would be an overnight flight on Delta Air Lines or United Airlines, including a connection through Atlanta or Chicago and would take approximately nine hours, not arriving until around 10 AM the following morning, albeit would be only about $700 in first class.

This year, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships will take place for the first time ever at the Del Mar racetrack on November 3 and 4. Breeders’ Cup combines the VIP hospitality and entertainment with the highest level of horse racing competition with champion horses and jockeys competing for over $28 million in purses and awards across 13 Grade I races.
Lexington, Kentucky, the horse capital of the world, is home to several of the sport’s most significant sales, including Fasig-Tipton’s November Sale, taking place on November 6, 2017, and Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale, taking place from Tuesday, November 7 through Saturday, November 18, 2017.
