Private Jet Card Comparisons Celebrates 25,000 Visitors

By Doug Gollan, September 2, 2017

The independent comparison guide covers over 100 jet card programs across 65 variables helping consumers choose the best program for their needs.

Following its launch in late April, Private Jet Card Comparisons recently surpassed 25,000 unique visitors. The site is the only independent buyer’s guide for private jet card programs comparing over 100 programs by 65 variables. So far, the website has received coverage in Barron’s, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes, JustLuxe, Business Traveller, Luxury Daily, Corporate Jet Investor, Private Jet Podcast, Luxe Getaways, Girlahead, Navigator, and other leading media.

“The site makes it easier for consumers to find the program and the brand that best fits their needs, saving users hours in research and tens of thousands of dollars, if they make the wrong choice,” JustLuxe wrote. Barron’s called Private Jet Card Comparisons “a modern-day online Kelley Blue Book for private jet cards that compares over 100 programs by 60-plus characteristics.”

In marking the milestone, Private Jet Card Comparisons revealed some statistics from registered users. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of subscribers are current private aviation users. Most users currently charter (45%) followed by owning their own aircraft (15%) and then 12% who say they flight on a company owned private jet for business. Members of JetSmarter, the much-covered start-up which sells shuttles and empty legs, as well as charter, make up 9% of registered users for Private Jet Card Comparisons as does NetJets, the world’s largest private jet operator and seller of fractional shares and jet cards. XOJET customers (7%) followed by FlexJet and Delta Private Jets at 6% are the next biggest component of the websites patrons. Jet card sellers Air Partner, Sentient Jet and Wheels Up each represented 4% of users. Flying on a friend’s private jet was cited by 3% of users while a host of companies was also represented at lower levels. Nearly 20% of users reported having more than one private aviation solution.

“The data shows that most current jet card users are happy with their solutions, and the site is attracting both those who are interested in entering private aviation via jet cards and those who are already involved in private aviation through ownership, charter or company aircraft, but are exploring jet cards as a solution. In other words, the site is expanding the market for jet cards,” said Doug Gollan, Founder and Editor-in-Chief.

Some 58% of users say they are looking for 25 hours or less of private jet travel followed by 21% who need 26 to 50 hours, 13% who need 51 to 99 hours and 7% who are shopping for over 100 hours.

“In talking with users, they appreciate having an independent, unbiased, educational source so they can understand all of the variations between programs and narrow down the choices that best fit their needs,” said Gollan, adding, “I think it is great for the industry as well as it saves the companies time. Most jet card sellers have hundreds of thousands of leads they spend money to generate, then more money and time reaching out to, 99% of which never come to fruition.”

NetJets is the number one accessed company on Private Jet Card Comparisons, followed by Delta Private Jets, Wheels Up, Air Partner, JetSuite, Flexjet, XOJET, Sentient Jet, Airstream Jets, Jet Linx Aviation, StraightLine Private Air, Magellan Jets, Nicholas Air, VistaJet and Clay Lacy Aviation.
