Average hourly rate for the $400,000 SuiteKey membership starts as low as $3,250 per hour for an Embraer Phenom 100.
JetSuite, which recently announced it was going to an all Embraer fleet by the end of 2018, is offering flight credits from $3,500 to $18,000 if you buy a SuiteKey Membership during November. The deal effectively reduces your hourly rate up to $185 per hour on the Phenom 100 and up to $230 per hour on the CJ3 or Phenom 300 for the duration of your contract, according to the operator.
Hourly savings is dependent upon the value of the SuiteKey Membership. Phenom 100 savings range from $132 per hour on a $50,000 contract to $186 per hour on a $200,000 contract. CJ3/Phenom 300 savings ranges from $161 to $230 per hour. The incentive offer expires November 30, 2017.
As we recently detailed in Jet Card Insider, the program doesn’t provide a guaranteed hourly rate but uses a database of over five million rates between city pairs that factor in the expense of serving the routes with its floating fleet. While there isn’t guaranteed availability, only program members can book more than 90 days in advance which means JetSuite is a good program for those of you who can plan ahead. There is also no cancellation penalty as long as you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. JetSuite has a daily minimum of 60 minutes (tied for the lowest) but with the advantage that it doesn’t charge from taxi time which typically runs 12 minutes per segment. It’s a big deal and once again shows why comparing straight hourly rates isn’t enough. Over the course of 20 one-hour flights, if your hourly rate is $4,000 for example, that’s $800 per segment in taxi charges or $16,000 you don’t pay with JetSuite.
JetSuite has been in the news quite a bit in the recent past. Last year it launched a sister, JetSuiteX, a by the seat scheduled public charter that uses private aviation facilities. It also attracted an investment from JetBlue. Delta Air Lines has long had Delta Private Jets while Lufthansa (partnership with NetJets), Qatar Airways, Korean Air, Hainan Airlines (Deer Jet) and Saudia have long had links to private aviation subsidiaries or alliances. More recently, JetSuite announced it was getting into the management segment focused on Embraer. That move, which is bringing larger and longer range aircraft into the fleet (its first is the Embraer Legacy 650 with range to get to Hawaii), may significantly change its profile in the coming years.
