A strong microburst damaged the hangar used by Jet Linx Aviation at Houston Hobby Airport. Storms and high winds also damaged homes in the area and knocked down trees and telephone lines. No injuries were reported according to reports from both Houston Sky2 and Aviation International News. The storm hit on Tuesday.

The reports stated five aircraft managed by Jet Linx were impacted and the hangar and the company has moved its operations which are ongoing into a Jet Aviation facility at the airport. It had been operating its own terminal/lounge in the hangar that was damaged.

Jet Linx sells jet cards in 14 markets in the U.S. from Scottsdale in the West to Atlanta and Washington D.C. in the East. Earlier this year Private Jet Card Comparisons reported plans by the company to expand with new bases in New York, possibly both Teterboro and Westchester County, as well as Boston, Los Angeles, San Jose and Chicago.

In each market, the company manages aircraft for owners and sells the time they don’t use their aircraft for pay as you go jet cards. The goal of operating its own lounge is to provide customers a more personalized experienced compared to FBOs, including stocking favorite drinks and detailing cars during their trips.
