OneJet, which focuses on connecting medium-size markets, is expected tomorrow to announce the acquisition of Ultimate Jet Charters. Ultimate Jet Charters operates 30-seat Dornier and ERJ aircraft for corporate shuttle clients, as well as per-seat scheduled service on select routes under the Ultimate Air Shuttle brand.

The combined company will have a fleet of nearly 25 aircraft by the end of 2018, and plans call for Ultimate to be integrated into OneJet’s expanding regional network alongside current operator, Contour Airlines, with flights beginning on June 4th.  One Jet introduced its first ERJ earlier this year, with the launch of its services between Buffalo and Albany.

The Ultimate Air Shuttle brand will remain independent and continue to operate premium shared shuttle services to and from Cincinnati, as well as private charter for corporate and collegiate clients.

“The Ultimate team is renowned with both customers and industry colleagues for their stellar operational reliability and customer service, with over 30 years of experience providing a wonderful product to both their corporate and leisure customers,: said Matthew Maguire, One Jet’s Chief Executive Officer.  “The opportunity to integrate this demonstrated level of premium service within our expanding network of point-to-point regional routes will further enhance the travel experience and service options for our collective customers, providing a wonderful platform for both organizations’ continued growth.”

Commenting on the business combination, Ultimate Jet Charter Chief Executive Officer, John Gordon, said: “Ultimate Jet Charter and Ultimate Air Shuttle was built on the foundation of serving the customer.  That mission will not change. In fact, combining the strengths of both companies will provide an even further improved service experience and set of travel options for our customers.  We look forward to continuing to build a culture and operation built on these values and leveraging the respective capabilities of each company.”

Collectively, the companies will serve over 17 cities, including Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Albany, Buffalo, Hartford, West Palm Beach, Kansas City, New York (via Morristown, New Jersey), Chicago, Charlotte, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Louisville, Atlanta, Columbus and Raleigh Durham.

One Jet will be making additional schedule changes and routing adjustments during May as the Ultimate operations are integrated into its network. The Company will be announcing several route upgrades as well as new seasonal destinations during May 2018, as well.

One Jet service operates from the main commercial terminals and airports in markets served and feature TSA PreCheck access, expedited boarding and complimentary onboard amenities, including high-speed internet access. All flights are operated by regionally based operating partners featuring ARGUS Platinum safety-rated and TSA-certified operations.

Founded in 1984 by John Gordon, Ultimate focuses on on-demand charter for corporate shuttles, sports team/fan travel, project shuttles, incentive/group travel and casino trips. In July 2009, Ultimate Jetcharters launched Ultimate Air Shuttle service between Cincinnati and New York City. With services operating Monday through Friday, business and leisure travelers, for example, use Cincinnati’s Lunken Airport and FBOs avoiding commercial terminals.

Last week JetSuiteX announced it was beginning code sharing with JetBlue where its flights will be listed under the commercial airline’s B6 code. Surf Air, another semi-private airline that sells seats on a membership basis, also announced it is expanding in Europe via a partnership with JetClass. Executives tell Private Jet Card Comparisons that Tradewind Aviation has assumed operations of its Texas operations acquired last year when it purchased RISE.
