How much is a private jet? Figuring out the right jet card membership program is more than just comparing hourly rates. JET CARD DECIDER from Private Jet Card Comparisons makes it even easier.

Private Jet Card Comparisons today launches its exclusive JET CARD DECIDER tool to help make finding the best jet card membership program even easier. The new service is available exclusively to new and current paid subscribers at no additional cost. Private Jet Card Comparisons provides the most comprehensive comparison data on jet card companies comparing over 250 programs by more than 65 variables.

“Each subscriber has different flying needs. It means your friend’s jet card program may not be a fit for you,” said Doug Gollan, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Private Jet Card Comparisons, adding, “Our new Jet Card Decider worksheet is a brief questionnaire that subscribers fill out and send back to us. We then analyze all the options in our database containing over 20,000 data points and provide a customized recommendation on which providers and programs best fit their needs.”

Private Jet Card Comparisons was launched in April 2017 after Gollan, a contributor to Forbes.com, became overwhelmed as he was trying to research an in-depth article about the category. He found there were more providers that he expected, and in fact, the number of programs and providers has more than doubled since the Great Recession.

He says jet cards are a form of private jet charter and fill the space between on-demand charter and fractional ownership with today’s jet cards starting from under 10 hours to over 100 hours of flight time. Gollan saw there were numerous differences between the programs that went beyond just hourly private jet charter price, eventually cataloging more than 65 variables. He also found core differences. Some programs offered guaranteed availability and fixed rate one-way pricing while other used a dynamic pricing model where rates vary with each trip. Available aircraft types range from piston and turboprops such as the King Air 350 to the ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650.

In his research, Gollan found the only buyer’s guides available were either directly from providers or lead generation services that sell subscriber data to specific companies. While containing some good material, he felt those guides were slanted towards sponsoring companies.

“I wanted to provide a service where my subscribers knew they were getting comprehensive and unbiased recommendations,” Gollan said. Private Jet Card Comparisons doesn’t accept any payments or referral fees from jet companies, and the site does not accept advertising, relying 100% on paid subscriptions.

Private Jet Card Comparisons offers subscribers who pay $250 easy-to-use spreadsheets comparing 38 providers and over 250 programs by more than 65 variables. Featured companies include Air Partner, Inc.; Airstream Jets Inc.; Clay Lacy Aviation; Concord Private Jet; Delta Private Jets, Inc.; ECOJETS; Executive AirShare; ExpertJet; Flexjet; Fly Aeolus; GlobeAir; Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc.; Jet Linx Aviation; Jet the World; JetSet Group; JetSuite; Luxury Aircraft Solutions; Magellan Jets; Netjets; Nicholas Air; ONEFlight International; Paramount Business Jets; Private Jet Services Group (PJS Group); PrivateFly; Prive Jets; ProspAir Jet Charter; Sentient Jet; Silverhawk Aviation; Solairus Aviation; Star Jets International LLC; StraightLine Private Air; TeeBee Jets; Unity Jets; Velocity Jets; VistaJet; Wheels Up; Wholesale Jet Club; and XOJET.

Comparisons include how each program is structured, service area, seating capacity for programs, sourcing standards for aircraft and flight crew, including ARGUS, Wyvern Wingman and IS-BAO safety ratings. Pricing from hourly jet charter costs to fees for membership, annual dues, CPI escalators, fuel surcharges, and whether or not deicing and 7.5% Federal Excise Tax (FET) charges are included or extra are just a few examples of the detailed information that has made Private Jet Card Comparisons so successful.

“The JET CARD DECIDER tool means even if you have limited experience with private aviation, you can still find the best programs that you should consider, and for even experienced readers, the new tool saves even more time,” said Gollan.
