Four Seasons has for a while had its toes dipped into private aviation with its Four Seasons-branded Boeing 757 it uses for air cruises to various parts of the world, of course using its hotels and resorts and bases for various experiences. For these trips, you buy your spot by the seat and share the plane with other guests. Last October, it partnered with NetJets to create private jet vacations featuring its resorts in Hawaii, Jackson Hotel, the South of France and hotels in Paris, Milan and Florence.

Now the program is extending to Ocean Club in the Bahamas and Anguilla. Four Seasons assumed management of the Bahamian resort last year from One&Only and Anguilla, which in its past life had been a Viceroy, has a fresh look as reopened in March following the hurricanes.

Normally to fly on the NetJets fleet, you need to be a fractional shareowner or buy a Marquis Jet card for at least 25 hours. The partnership is clever from a couple perspectives. When doing on-demand charter, quality of aircraft and qualification of pilots is always an issue, particularly if you are flying to resort airports. Safety and pilot training is one of NetJets’s strong suits, so by securing a NetJets aircraft and pilots for your vacation, you don’t have to worry about what you will find when you get to the FBO.

It’s also an interesting perk for NetJets fractional and card owners, particularly if you don’t want to use your hours for the trip, and then lastly, let’s say you are considering a jet card or fractional program, it’s an interesting way to backdoor a demo flight around a nice vacation.

The way it works is everything is made to order, so while the website provides an outline of experiences, after speaking to Four Seasons, you will get a quote back from it for the land portion and from NetJets based on your flying needs, for example, type of aircraft, where you are coming from and going to.

From a resort perspective, the flights are combined with high-end suites and villas at each property, and you can customize experiences or just flop on the beach. It’s a package sort of, but more like a Chinese menu. You choose the size of aircraft based on the size of party and also what’s right for the mission, and accommodations are a la carte too. Information for NetJetting to Anguilla and Ocean Club is not on the Four Seasons website with start date not yet set, however, if you are interested, for more information, you can email fourseasonsnetjets@fourseasons.com.
