Following last week’s bankruptcy of Swiss airline SkyWork, JetClass announced it is starting by-the-seat private jet flights from Bern, Switzerland. JetClass said it has put in place a new on-demand service, accessible through www.jetclass.com/bern, that utilizes the company’s AI-powered software to match passengers with the next available scheduled shared private jet flight.
JetClass has set up a webpage – www.jetclass.com/bern, – dedicated for collecting the necessary information from impacted SkyWork customers and smart-matching the passengers to the next available departures. The matched passengers who sign up on this page and then book with JetClass will fly on scheduled chartered business jet flights at a rate of 390EUR to 690EUR per seat. The first flight operated yesterday to Munich.
“Events like this are painful for every party involved,” said Wagas Ali, the CEO and co-founder of JetClass. “We offer our deepest condolences to colleagues and everyone else affected by the bankruptcy, and we can only hope that our efforts will help alleviate at least some of the stress which has fallen upon the shoulders of the passengers.”
According to its website, JetClass will also be adding flights to London with a single weekly flight on a four-seat Citation Mustang. The early morning departure and 5 pm return from London City Airport provide a single day return option for Bern based travelers. Flights to Munich are also scheduled once per week on Tuesdays. Other destinations served by JetClass include Milan, Nice, Geneva, Zurich, Luxembourg, and Brussels. Earlier this year, Surf Air outsourced its member flying to JetClass after retreating on its efforts to establish its own flights in Europe.
