JetClass sets by-the-seat private jet flights for the winter season

By Doug Gollan, November 28, 2018

While Surf Air has pulled out of Europe and JetSmarter has none of its own flights scheduled, JetClass is seemingly making its by-the-seat semiprivate jet service work

By-the-seat private jet airline JetClass is increasing the frequency of its top-performing route between Zurich and Luxembourg, and adding flights between Vienna and Strasbourg, two cities in the heart of Europe which had never had a direct flight nonstop before, the company said in a press release.

The new schedule is effective until February 28, 2019, an expands the Zurich-Luxembourg flights to three times per week. Between Vienna and Strasbourg, the new nonstops will cut down the average travel time between the cities from over nine hours by train to 90 minutes in the air.

“The schedule adjustments for the winter season embody the two most valuable advantages of business aviation: time-saving approach and flexibility,” said Wagas Ali, the co-founder and CEO of JetClass, noting, “Adding another connection between Zurich and Luxembourg shows that we are able to successfully compete with established traditional airlines, simply because frequent travelers, in addition to excellent service, are also looking for ways to reduce the hours wasted queueing up in crowded airports. The new connection between Vienna and Strasbourg showcases yet again with what ease JetClass is able to schedule business jets between previously unconnected city pairs, giving back almost eight hours of travel time to our passengers.”

The JetClass network includes Munich, Geneva, Milan, Nice, and Luxembourg. Consumers can book seats on its scheduled flights without membership fees. Price per seat per flight starts at around $400.
