The broker of jet cards and on-demand charter is expanding its Russian presence

Air Charter Service, which has 25 offices worldwide, and sells on-demand charter and jet cards in the U.S. and Europe, said it has expanded its presence in Russia, moving into new offices in Moscow with nearly double the space as its previous presence.

Azat Mulgimov, regional director of Air Charter Service, Russia & CIS, commented, “The Moscow operation is now in its 25th year, having opened its doors in 1995, and it continues to grow. This new office gives us the extra space required to facilitate our expansion plans in Russia and the CIS.

He added, “As the only global company of our type in Russia, we count many charter brokers and airlines as our customers, as we are well-placed to offer international companies an easier way to charter aircraft in Russia. Our local bank accounts and language played a huge factor in June and July last year being an especially busy period for us – we chartered for 25% of the teams taking part in the FIFA World Cup.”

ACS said it is recruiting to add to its team of more than 30 staff in three regional offices there. In March, it opened a Shanghai office while in February it expanded its Los Angeles presence.

The privately held broker says it arranges almost 15,000 contracts annually with revenue of nearly $700 million. Its history dates to 1990 when it was founded by chairman Chris Leach and CEO Justin Bowman in the basement of a house. It currently employs more than 500 staff worldwide.

ACS jet cards start at 25 hours and include guaranteed availability and an hourly rate cap. It also offers dynamic pricing deposit cards and custom jet cards where you provide your own specifications.
