Jet Linx partners with Forbes Travel Guide to heighten private jet service levels

Forbes Travel Guide rates luxury hotels and provides best practices training and consulting

Jet Linx wants to bring you the same level of service and attention to detail you get when you step into a 5-star rate hotel, at least those that get the top ranking from Forbes Travel Guide. Examples include New York’s Baccarat Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, Le Bristol Paris, and The Peninsula Beverly Hills.

According to a press release, Jet Linx will be the guide’s first private aviation partner and the partnership will be exclusive. The companies said, “The collaboration will exclusively enable Jet Linx to establish and implement Forbes Travel Guide’s preeminent and unparalleled standards of service excellence in private aviation, as well as to collaborate with FTG in the creation of customized, proprietary Jet Linx standards of service excellence.”

Jet Linx, Forbes Travel Guide: “A game-changer”

Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide said, “This partnership is a game-changer for private aviation and will set a necessary benchmark for the industry. Our 60 years of expertise in leading with excellence lends itself not just to hospitality but to every industry that wants to cultivate an excellent service culture, so we are excited to support Jet Linx in its path to even greater success.”

Jet Linx CEO Jamie Walker: “Our industry has extensive regulatory and operational standards for companies to comply with, but it has never set a customer service standard — until now. “

The first phase of the partnership will entail FTG comprehensively assessing and training all client services personnel in Jet Linx 18 base terminal locations, including its National Operations Center in Omaha, Nebraska, both with regard to pre-flight and post-flight standards of service excellence.

Jet Linx “unique, proprietary” service standards

At the same time, FTG and Jet Linx will collaborate to “create unique and proprietary standards of service excellence that encompass those of both Jet Linx and FTG.”

The first phase will conclude with the assessment and training of all Jet Linx flight crews to establish inflight standards of service excellence.

Our groundbreaking partnership with Forbes Travel Guide will transform the private jet travel industry and set an unrivaled standard of service excellence for our clients.

Thereafter, Jet Linx said it has appointed FTG to reevaluate and requalify its client services and flight personnel in its National Operations Center, as well as in each of its base terminal locations throughout the country, to ensure that Jet Linx team members consistently embrace and uphold FTG’s standards of service excellence.

Jet Linx CEO Jamie Walker, added, “Our industry has extensive regulatory and operational standards for companies to comply with, but it has never set a customer service standard — until now. Our groundbreaking partnership with Forbes Travel Guide will transform the private jet travel industry and set an unrivaled standard of service excellence for our clients; the same service excellence they’ve come to expect from the finest Five-Star hotels, restaurants, and spas around the world.

Jet Linx expands to New York, Boston, Chicago, Austin

Jet Linx has been expanding rapidly in recent years from its Midwestern routes, having added its first East Coast location in Washington D.C. and now Teterboro Airport serving the New York City region and Boston. It also added a Chicago base earlier this year and is expanding to Austin.

Jet Linx jet card members and owners get access to private terminals at its 18 base locations.

Walker has said he plans to add bases on the West Coast (it now has bases in Scottsdale and Denver) as well as South Florida, which offers a number of possibilities that could include Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, or Naples on Florida’s west coast.

Jet Linx currently has 115 private jets under management. Unlike most jet card providers who target a national clientele, Jet Linx only markets its membership programs in base locations, selling time aircraft owners aren’t using.

Jet card programs

Members of its jet card program and owners who engage Jet Linx for management have access to a private terminal with VIP facilities including complimentary beverages featuring their favorite spirits. While they are away, their cars are detailed and returned by a valet.

Jet Linx is one of the few jet card providers to offer a pay-as-you-go type, meaning you pay a membership fee, however, you pay on a per-flight basis instead of having to make a six-figure deposit.

It also recently joined Wheels Up and XO in offering a jet sharing option for members of its jet card programs and its aircraft owners. Walker told Private Jet Card Comparisons by having its customers located around its base locations, he believes there will be demand on unique routes compared to the national programs.

Jet Linx is also noted for its focus on safety, including closing annually for safety summit and recently signed an innovative deal with Southwest Airlines providing both career opportunities for its pilots and the ability of the commercial pilots to join Jet Linx. Because of its base system, pilots often end up doing same-day or single overnight trips, meaning unlike commercial pilots or pilots in private jet floating fleets, they get to spend more time at home.
