The jet card broker has acquired the flight scheduling technology platform

Private Jet Services (PJS) Group, which earlier this month revamped its jet card program, said it has acquired The Flight Exchange (TFX), which it describes as “a cutting-edge technology platform that improves the private flight scheduling experience.”

As part of the acquisition, business aviation veteran Chris Early, TFX’s founder, has joined the executive team of PJS and vice president of sales in the Western U.S.

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our leadership team. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. The addition of Chris’s experience and professionalism furthers our mission of delivering exquisite transportation for our customers,” said PJS CEO, Greg Raiff.

He added, “Acquiring TFX is the next step in providing our customers with the industry’s most advanced and flexible private flight experience. TFX has developed proprietary technology that provides real-time insight into demand and aircraft availability.”

Raif continued, “We are excited about integrating the TFX capabilities into our customer experience. This innovative platform will automate previously manual processes, enabling our service team to spend more time listening to our clients and delivering the human touch that differentiates PJS.”

Private Jet Services Group looks west

In his new role with PJS, Early is charged with growing the U.S. western region. He is a former vice president with Sentient Jet, and later was president of Bird Dog Jet, a broker he sold to PrivateFly, which was subsequently acquired by Directional Aviation, which also owns Sentient.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to offer my clientele the unsurpassed PJS experience of personalized, intelligent, flexible and worry-free air travel,” said Early. “After 15 years in the private aviation space, it is clear to me that PJS is not only the right fit for me, its consultative approach and superior suite of services are precisely what air travelers need and deserve.”

The move by PJS follows recent initiatives on the backend side of the business. In September, Wheels Up announced its purchase of Avianis. Last month Directional launched Tuvoli as part of its One Sky group, which includes Sentient, PrivateFly, and Flexjet.
