JetSuite's JSX named to Most Innovative Companies list

The honors from Fast Company follows a series of awards for the multi-faceted private aviation provider.

Another month, another award for JetSuite and JSX. In February it was president Stephanie Chung named to the Ebony Magazine 2020 Power 100 List.

In January, the company received a perfect score in the annual Corporate Quality Index. The CEI benchmarking survey and report measure corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

Now JSX has been tabbed by Fast Company as one of the world’s “Most Innovative Companies for 2020.”

Most Innovative Companies

The list— released today — honors the businesses making the most profound impact on both industry and culture, showcasing a variety of ways to thrive in today’s fast-changing world. This year’s MIC list features 434 businesses from across 39 countries.

“We’re deeply honored to have been selected for Fast Company’s highly-regarded list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2020,” notes JetSuite and JSX CEO, Alex Wilcox.

He adds, “Over the past four years, JSX has increasingly filled a gap in the domestic market for short-haul travel, connecting travelers to the most desirable destinations for weekend getaways and frequent business trips.”

JSX has been seeking to be a gamechanger for trips under 500 miles targeting markets either not served effectively by commercial airlines and encouraging drivers to switch to flying.

Cutting Total Travel Time In Half

By using private aviation facilities for its short flights, it cuts total travel time in half compared to regular airlines. The deadline to check-in is only 20 minutes. Passengers can be out of the airport and on their way less than 5 minutes after landing.

JSX uses a combination of Embraer 135 and 145 regional jets that have had seating reduced from 36 to 30 seats, each with 36 inches of pitch. That’s about what you will find in domestic first class. There’s also WiFi, drinks, snacks, and up to three checked bags free.

Recently, the service has been in the spotlight as travelers seek to avoid larger commercial airliners and crowded airport terminals.

JSX was also recognized for providing an affordable alternative with fares starting at $89 one-way.

Best Overall Regional Air Carriers

And again, speaking about awards, JSX was ecently honored by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) as the 2020 “Best Overall Regional” air carrier in North America.

JSX also counts JetBlue as a codeshare partner. TrueBlue members earn points on JSX flights.

In addition to all of the awards, it is also the First Autism Awareness Certified air carrier.

“At a time of increasing global volatility, this year’s list showcases the resilience and optimism of businesses across the world. These companies are applying creativity to solve challenges within their industries and far beyond,” said Fast Company senior editor Amy Farley, who oversaw the issue with deputy editor David Lidsky.
