Alliance Aviation drops light jet rates to $4,495 per hour

The new program has a fee of $50,000 and then pay-as-you-go instead of full funding upfront

Alliance Aviation, the start-up founded by former Dumont Aviation executives, has launched a new jet card offering.

The CARES Pay-As-You-Go Jet Card requires a non-refundable $50,000 deposit. For the first 25 hours, you pay $2,995 per hour on a light jet. For hours 26 to 50, you then pay $3,995 per hour. Aircraft include Hawker 400XPs or larger.

Upgrades for a medium jet are available for an additional $995 per hour and large cabin aircraft come for a surcharge of $2,995 per hour.

Jet Card Pricing

During the first 25 hours, the program confers the following hourly rates without excluding the joining fee:

  • Light Jet = $2,995 per hour
  • Midsize Jet = $3,990 per hour
  • Large Cabin Jet = $5,990 per hour

That means if you flew just 25 hours, you would pay the following hourly rates:

  • Light Jet = $4,995 per hour ($50,000 divided by 25 hours + $2,995 per hour)
  • Midsize Jet = $5,990 per hour ($50,000 divided by 25 hours + $2,995 per hour + $995 per hour for the upgrade)
  • Large Cabin Jet = $7,990 per hour ($50,000 divided by 25 hours + $2,995 per hour + $2,995 per hour for the upgrade)

If you plan to fly 50 hours, your hourly rates for hours 26 to 50 are:

  • Light Jet = $3,995 per hour
  • Midsize Jet = $4,990 per hour
  • Large Cabin Jet = $6,990 per hour

That means if you fly 50 hours on Alliance’s new Pay-As-You-Go Jet Card, your average hourly rates would be:

  • Light Jet = $4,495 per hour ($50,000 divided by 50 hours + an average hourly rate of $3,495)
  • Midsize Jet = $6,490 per hour ($50,000 divided by 50 hours + an average hourly rate of $5,490)
  • Large Cabin Jet = $7,450 per hour ($50,000 divided by 50 hours + an average hourly rate of $6,490)

Rules of the program are the same as existing jet cards. That means just eight hours lead-time for reservations, except on 21 peak days, and 90 minute daily minimums.

There is a 10% surcharge for Caribbean and Mexico flights. Alliance is one of the few jet cards to include Hawaii or Alaska in the fixed-one-way rate service area. There is a 25% surcharge.

Peak days and flights outside of the Continental U.S. require a 168 hours advance booking.
