The magazine goes to American Express Centurion and Platinum cardmembers. All four private jet companies are repeat winners from last year’s inaugural contest

The editors of Departures magazine have released their picks for its Legends Awards.

In the private aviation category, the winners are NetJets, Wheels Up, Delta Private Jets, and VistaJet.

The awards are editors’ choice, based on “the best first-hand or extensively researched travel experiences.”

NetJets, Wheels Up, Delta Private Jets, and VistaJet are each repeat winners for Departures magazine’s Legends Awards for 2020

The magazine reports, “Every single honoree goes through a stringent vetting process, wherein our team of editors—all the way up to our Digital Executive Editor and Editor In Chief—weighs in on each selection.”

NetJets

NetJets, the world’s largest operator of private jets, was lauded for creating a jet setters version of air-sea vacations. Its partnership with Northrop & Johnson gives customers selected VIP experiences, “bringing NetJet’s top-tier sky experience to the water.”

NetJets recently revamped its jet card line-up, continuing a fleet evolution that has now added the Phenom 300, Citation Sovereign and Latitude, plus Bombardier’s Challenger 350 and 650.

Wheels Up Group

Wheels Up and Delta Private Jets were lauded for their merger. The deal, finalized earlier this year, brought DPJ into the Wheels Up Group and made Delta Air Lines its largest shareholder.

The result is to “fuse the intimate and elite service of Wheels Up with Delta’s global reach,” the editors say.

VistaJet

Global private jet operator VistaJet was cited for its high-end inflight programming and its leadership in adding new, ultra-long-range jets to its fleet.

“VistaJet is also one of our go-to family-friendly private jet programs, with plenty of entertainment geared toward children. And most recently, they’ve announced the arrival of the Global 7500 aircraft,” noted Departures.
