On-demand private jet charter company Victor said it has appointed Bobby Perez as Executive Vice President of North America to spearhead Victor’s growth in the U.S market.

He replaces long-serving boss David Young, who helped launch Victor in the U.S. after it acquired his YoungJets.

According to the company, Perez has been a key player in the Victor team since acquiring YoungJets in 2015. As the director, then vice president of operations, he has overseen the air travel logistics for multileg global tours for the world’s biggest musicians and facilitated large capacity complex charters such as the Cannonball Run Rally to Cuba; strengthened operator relationships; led staff training in aircraft sourcing; and ran point on client management for Victor for Music – the company’s dedicated division for music and entertainment tours.

“Victor North America is in a strong position to continue its upward growth trajectory post-management buyout with Bobby at the helm…There is huge potential for Victor in North America, and Bobby’s experience and character perfectly complement our plan for expansion in the region,” said UK managing director for Victor Toby Edwards in making the announcement.

Victor’s Private Jet Ambitions

Perez added: “I believe we can achieve our ambitious vision. As restrictions are lifting, we are seeing a steady increase in flights and are tracking to have the first profitable month in June since COVID-19 began. When the time is right, I am also looking forward to focusing on Victor for Music with the goal of becoming the go-to music tour and roadshow charter company, not just in North America, but worldwide.”

Commenting on Young’s departure, Victor CEO Clive Jackson said, “After 16 years in the industry with the latter five at Victor, David has left his role…to pursue other interests. I am immensely grateful for David’s contribution to Victor over the years as a key member of the senior leadership team. I hope he doesn’t move too far from aviation, but with him being a serial entrepreneur and a keen environmentalist, I am looking forward to following his onward journey.”

Victor has been in the news over the past two years, launching a loyalty program. At the same time, it has been embroiled in a lawsuit over privatejet.com. Earlier this year, Jackson regained control of Victor, which he started, after its parent went into receivership in the U.K.

So far in June, Victor said it is experiencing 70% increase in customer requests and 100% increase in bookings for the month versus May 2020.
