Private aviation users will be able to visit Singapore from the second half of January according to multiple news reports.
The plan, announced earlier this week, envisions conducting face-to-face meetings with Singapore-based associates, customers, and contacts. The meetings will be in newly constructed conference facilities with floor to ceiling glass dividers. The rooms will be set up for groups between four and 22 people. They are divided on either side of the COVID-19 resistant barrier. Photos by local officials have been posted on Facebook (above).
Visitors who arrive via private jet can stay up to 14 days. They will be accommodated in what’s described as an onsite 4-star hotel. Their meeting attendees will come to the facility.
According to the Straits Times, “Connect @ Changi is a four-star facility. It is currently being built at Singapore Expo and Max Atria. It’s about a five-minute drive from Changi Airport.”
The report continues, “When fully constructed in mid-2021, more than 1,300 guest rooms and about 340 meeting rooms will be available for booking, with each night costing travelers between $390 and $430 if they are staying for a duration shorter than three days.”
