Magellan Jets adds CJ3, Challenger 605 type jet cards

Boston-based jet card broker Magellan jets has swapped the CJ3 and CJ4 from the Hawker 400XP and Challenger 604/605 series from the Falcon 2000 in its jet card line-up

Magellan Jets is revamping its line-up of semi-specific jet cards. The move is designed to focus its jet card line-up around Cessna’s Citation, Bombardier, and Gulfstream aircraft.

“We see customers want a more consistent experience. NetJets have proved that customers want newer and nicer aircraft. And we see that too,” Magellan’s president Anthony Tivnan tells Private Jet Card Comparisons.

Moving the Citation CJ3 and CJ4 into the Hawker 400XP’s entry-level spot gives newer aircraft more range. It also provides a natural progression to the Citation Excel/XLS as an entry-level midsize aircraft and the Citation X super-midsize.

The Bombardier Challenger 605 and 604 take the place of the Dassault Falcon 2000. It allows Challenger 300/350 jet card members to upgrade to the entry-level large-cabin jet.

The Gulfstream 200/280, Gulfstream GIV-SP, and G450/550 offer a home for fans of the iconic large cabin specialist.

Its Embraer Phenom 300 and Hawker 800XP jet card options continue.

“It gives us a consistent portfolio of the most popular aircraft and the ones our customers have told us they want,” Tivnan says.

Magellan Jets offers two pay-as-you-go membership options based on aircraft age. Tivnan says 40% of customers are paying more for its premium option. That helped convince the company to refocus its jet card offerings.
