Phenom 300 charter operator GrandView is launching its first route-based, flat-rate offering

Maryland-based charter operator GrandView Aviation, which has been adding bases nationwide, is now launching flat-rate pricing for over 70 routes. The fixed rates are not hourly, but flat pricing specific to popular routes.

The rates are available to members of its Altitude Plus Plus Membership program. The discounted rates must be booked 14 days in advance and are, as available.

As available means, if an aircraft is available when you want to go, you get the rate. That favors flyers who are flexible. Flights are operated by GrandView’s Phenom 300s configured for a minimum of six passengers.

Routes and sample one-way flat prices aboard the Phenom 300s include:

  • Baltimore to South Florida – $12,500, plus FET
  • Chicago to New York Area – $15,500, plus FET
  • New York Area to South Florida – $19,000, plus FET
  • Austin to Los Angeles – $20,000, plus FET

Note: All applicable routes, airports, and rates are in the Private Jet Card Comparisons’ jet card comparisons database for paid subscribers.

“As other private jet operators suspend new jet card sales or curtail benefits, GrandView is actively selling new memberships offering major new benefits,” says Jessie Naor, Chief Operating Officer of GrandView Aviation. “

Naor says the new pricing was based on customers’ feedback. While GrandView offers fixed hourly rates, they don’t include repositioning, which has to be calculated on a trip-by-trip basis.

She continues, “Our customers frequently want to know exactly what they are paying on a per-trip basis for oneway trips. By providing a fixed menu on our most popular routes at significant savings, we expect strong demand for flights from existing members and a significant increase in new jet card memberships.”

Members of Altitude Plus pay $150,000. They receive an automatic 10% discount on all flights and earn rewards for catering, flight credits, and other perks like flexible cancelations where the flight’s cost will be credited to the account and $200 catering credit for every flight day.

Naor says the operator is considering adding guaranteed availability to its fixed hourly rates, which will increase in January.

Members who join Altitude Plus before January lock in current hourly and route pricing for 24 months. The program is non-refundable. However, funds never expire.

GrandView Aviation growth plans

GrandView Aviation will continue its growth plans into 2022 by hiring over 70 pilots through the third quarter. Additionally, it is adding to business and operations management and support roles throughout the organization.

The operator expects to fly 20,000 hours next year. It currently operates out of eight U.S. bases: Boston, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, and Denver. Plans call for three more bases next year.

Through June, GrandView clocked 4,426 charter hours according to Argus TraqPak data. It ranks 26th on our list of top 30 operators based on fractional and charter flight hours. If it meets its growth projections, it could move into the top 10.

GrandView currently operates 14 Embraer Phenom 300s and expects to add at least six more next year. It also operates two helicopters from its Martin State Airport headquarters.

Naor declined to say how many members GrandView currently has in Altitude Plus. However, she says it has seen a “huge uptick” in new clients as other providers have put their card programs on hiatus.
