Instead of the traditional hours-based approach, World Access starts at 75 days per year and is priced based on a quarter share
In perhaps one of the more innovative private aviation programs we’ve seen recently, Flexjet is moving its Gulfstream G650 fractional share and lease program from hours to a day based formula.
While the day-based approach on the surface mirrors what Airshare has been offering on its fleet of Phenom 300s and 100s for several years, it’s the first time we’ve seen it being applied to large cabin aircraft. It also amps up the competition between NetJets, VistaJet and Flexjet in the fight for high-spending ultra-long haul private jet fliers.
It represents a record number of airplanes arriving at the
conference powered by sustainable alternative jet fuels (SAJF)
A total of 23 business aircraft arrived at Geneva Airport for the annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) using alternative fuels, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced.
The Aircraft that participated in this first-ever EBACE SAJF Fly-In are showcased at the event’s static display. While Gulfstream flew a G450 across the Atlantic Ocean in 2011, the focus comes as U.S. politicians have stepped up rhetoric about aviation’s impact on the economy.
“Today, it is more evident than ever how unified our
industry is in working toward the goal of continually reducing emissions through
innovation,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “Business aviation has always
led the way in promoting technologies that advance the sustainability of
flight, and it is appropriate that we highlight our focus in this area through
this record-setting fly-in.”
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin was recently awarded $219,692 against JetCard Plus
Two companies selling jet cards look like they have turned off the lights, at least in terms of having active websites. Ascension Air, an Atlanta-based operator selling shares and jet cards, which is under fire from upset customers, has seen its website offline for more than a week. At the same time, JetCard Plus, a Miami-based broker of jet cards no longer appears to have a working website. Bloomberg reports on May 14 a Florida court ordered JetCard Plus Inc. of Miami to pay $219,692 to Steven T. Mnuchin Inc. Google indicates its office location closed and its phone number is no longer active.
The Ultimate Restaurant Guide for Private Jet Travelers combines memorable views, great dining, and time-saving convenience
For private jet users, their planes are time machines, giving them back valuable hours every time they fly. Recognizing that even when they are on the ground, business aircraft fliers are often trying to maximize their time, our sister publication, DG Amazing Experiences, a weekly travel e-newsletter for private jet owners, and Private Jet Card Comparisons, have combined to put together a restaurant guide specifically designed for those of you who are often up in the air.
Jet card broker Air Partner has been promoting luxury travel experiences via partnerships
Air Partner said it has partnered with The Modern Concierge to offer personalized 3, 4, 5 and 7-day wellness getaways for its JetCard jet card members. It follows similar partnerships with Quintessentially Travel and Camper & Nicholson covering luxury travel and yacht charters.
