Continued growth through Brazil and the United States have propelled worldwide private jet flight activity to a 5% YOY gain in Week 32.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (74,340 segments) continued its upward trend in Week 32 with 5% year-over-year growth.
Even so, private jet segments decreased by about 1% for the week ending August 10th, 2025.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Since the start of August, global private jet departures have already surpassed 100,000 flights.
August 1st through August 10th have totalled 105,177 private jet flights.
This represents a 5% year-over-year increase and a 21% increase compared to the same period in August 2019.
Additionally, the global active private jet fleet has continued to grow. So far this month, there are approximately 15,364 active business jets around the world.
This represents a 4% growth from last year and a 21% increase compared to August 2019, indicating continued growth in the private jet industry.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe spoke about the continued success in the private aviation market this summer.
This summer has represented some of the strongest trends in recent years.
Koe stated:
‘Business jet demand continues to thrive this summer, with 4% YOY pick-up the strongest trend since 2022. Even Europe is seeing more traffic, despite the YOY slump in France to mark the anniversary of the Paris Olympics. The big rebound in bizjet traffic to Switzerland, up 12% YOY, is probably due to high-end tourists looking to avoid the worst of the heatwaves.’
Some notable trends include a slight week-over-week decrease of about 1% as August began.
North America remained flat, while Europe saw a slight decline, which was balanced out by an increase in South America, specifically in Brazil.
The United States has seen continued growth, showing about a 6% increase year-over-year.
This was driven by a significant increase in Florida, recording an 8% increase from week 32 of 2024.
In Europe, the Continent recorded a year-over-year decrease of about 1%.
The 14% decrease in France largely drove this.
However, this can be attributed to the Paris Summer Olympics that took place in 2024. Furthermore, Switzerland showed a positive increase of about 12% year-over-year.
The Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America all saw year-over-year increases compared to 2024.
South America reached 2,500 private jet flights, a staggering 26% increase from last year.
Africa also increased by over 20%.

Global fractional and charter operators saw positive trends in week 32.
In total, these operators totalled over 39,000 private jet flights, a 4% increase year-over-year. However, this was down by about 3% compared to last week.
United States private jet flight activity by charter operators remained steady week-over-week.
Even so, the activity still represents a 6% increase year-over-year, largely driven by significant increases in Florida and Texas.
Europe saw a slight decrease of about 2% compared to last year.
This was driven by decreased private jet flight activity across the continent, including the UK, Germany, and France.

Several other regions struggled with private jet fractional or charter operators.
This includes the Middle East, which saw a 9% decrease year-over-year, Africa, which saw a 30% decrease, and Asia, which saw an 11% decrease.
However, South America’s fractional and charter operators have remained strong.
Although it is not necessarily a strong global segment, the continent saw a 53% increase year-over-year.
