
Week 35 saw a 10% increase in private jet flight activity compared to last year, driven by increases in Europe and North America.
Global private jet flight activity, which recorded 73,733 departures, continued its upward trend in Week 34 with a 10% increase in flights compared to last year.
However, private jet flight activity saw a slight decrease week-over-week.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Compared to week 35 of 2024, this past week showed a 10% increase in private jet flights.
Around the world, the industry recorded a total of 73,733 private jet departures. However, this was a slight decrease of about 1% compared to last week.
Even so, during August, private jets recorded a staggering 327,745 flights.
This August was the busiest in the past six years, including a 5% increase over last year, a 3% increase compared to 2022, and a 30% increase compared to 2019.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe spoke about the success the industry has seen over the course of the last month.
Koe stated:
‘August 2025 was our busiest August on record, with week 35 seeing the largest weekly jump year-to-date. Labor Day activity demonstrated the strength of leisure demand for business jet travel. Despite broader concerns for the economy, business jet activity trends appear to have accelerated rather than slowed as the summer ends.’
Private jet flight activity has continuously increased compared to last year.
However, this week, private jet flight activity decreased slightly compared to last week.
The United States saw one of the largest decreases, recording 3% fewer flights than last week. Even so, this was a steady 11% increase compared to last year.
California was the biggest driver in terms of the week-over-week decrease, dropping approximately 7%. Florida and Texas both saw week-over-week increases, but it was not enough to keep the US from decreasing compared to last week.
The Labor Day holiday weekend boosted private jet flight activity to several U.S. destinations.
Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) recorded 12% more private jet flights than last year. Key West International Airport (EYW) saw a 133% increase compared to last year.
Europe recorded one of the largest week-over-week increases, seeing approximately 8% more private jet flights this week.
This also showed a 5% year-over-year increase, meaning private jet flight activity remains strong in Europe.
Germany and France both saw increases over 15% week-over-week, while the UK and Switzerland saw more modest increases. Nevertheless, Switzerland recorded one of the largest year-over-year increases, at approximately 13%.
Africa experienced the largest year-over-year increase, with 26% more private jet flights recorded this year. This represents a 4% increase compared to week 34 of this year.

Global fractional and charter operations also saw positive year-over-year trends this past week.
Overall, Part 91 and Part 135 flights saw a 10% increase compared to week 35 of last year. However, this was a slight decrease of about 1% compared to last week.
The U.S. recorded a significant year-over-year increase of about 14%. This was largely driven by strong showings from Florida, California, and Texas, which each recorded increases of 15%, 8%, and 16%, respectively.
However, the US saw a week-over-week decrease of about 3%, driven by a slight drop in private jet flights in California compared to last week.
Europe saw a better week-over-week trend in private jet flight activity, recording an 8% increase compared to last week. The continent also recorded a 1% year-over-year increase.
France saw the largest week-over-week increase, recording about 17% more private jet flights than last week. This was approximately 3% higher than week 35 of the previous year.

South America saw the largest week-over-week decrease with about 17% fewer flights than last week. However, growth in the region remains steady, as South America recorded a 43% increase compared to last year.
Flights in the Middle East rose by about 4%, although this was still down by about 4% compared to week 35 of 2024.
Asia remained relatively flat in terms of charter operations, but is still down about 4% year-over-year.
