Argus and WingX research shows the private aviation rebound is showing no signs of letting up in July

Argus Traqpak’s research data showed June as the busiest month for private aviation since October 2007. Now, the aviation research firm says July 1, 2021, recorded 12,345 business aviation flights in North America. That was the largest single-day of operations since March 20, 2008.

With the U.S. leading the way, global private jet flights are 12% ahead of 2019 pre-Covid levels in June, according to WingX. It comes as scheduled airline flights remain 40% lower than 2019 levels. So far this year, global private aviation activity is just 6% below 2019 levels and 41% above 2020.

The world’s largest private jet operator – NetJets – says flying is now at record levels and it will take delivery of over 50 new private jets this year

While rivals Flexjet and Jet Edge are moving to challenge NetJets with varied strategies, the market leader shows no signs of letting up. In a letter to customers, NetJets president Patrick Gallagher wrote the Berkshire Hathaway-owned fractional and jet card provider would take delivery of over 50 factory-new aircraft this year.
