NetJets and Four Seasons are combing to offer luxury travel and private jet experiences.
Leading luxury hotelier Four Seasons and NetJets, the world’s largest private jet operator, which sells fractional ownership shares, leases and jet cards, have rolled out three luxury travel experiences spanning from the island of Lanai in Hawaii to a combination ski trip to Aspen and Vail, plus a European itinerary, including Paris, Cap-Ferrat, Milan and Florence.
The program was announced by press release today, but apparently was communicated to customers of the two brands last month and there is already interest. We learned this because when we called the reservations number listed on the program’s website it was answered on the second ring by none other than Javier Loureiro, the Director of Four Seasons’ Private Jet programs, those luxury guided tours around-the-world aboard a branded custom 757.
The way it works is everything is made to order, so while the website provides an outline of experiences, after speaking to Four Seasons, you will get a quote back from it for the land portion and from NetJets based on your flying needs, for example, type of aircraft, where you are coming from and going to. For those of you who like to shop flights the by the trip, Loureiro says even though the land and air quotes are separate they do need to be purchased together which makes sense. A video showcasing the European offering (below) already has over 200 views.
So what are some of the special experiences on offer?
In Milan, there is an exclusive dinner at Villa Mozart, home to one of the city’s most distinctive private art collections. In Florence, you can have a picnic lunch prepared by Michelin star Chef Vito Mollica. At the George V in Paris, there is the opportunity to take a private cooking class with a Michelin-starred chef.
On Lanai, you can visit sacred sites, a traditional fishing village and travel along majestic ocean cliffs on a 4×4 off-roading excursion or venture off the beaten path during a Polaris off-road adventure. You can also learn how to make the perfect sushi roll with the executive chef of Nobu Lanai. In Colorado and Wyoming, think heli-skiing and private mountaintop lunches.
Loureiro tells us that everything on the website is to stimulate ideas, so once you decide what you want to do the final trip is customized around what you want.
