The website for jet card broker Ecojets is offline and the company hasn’t posted on its social media since the beginning of August
When Ecojets launched last year, its jet card program seemed good. In fact, in the end, it may have been too good to be true. While offering attractive hourly rates, it also gave members savings of up to 50% if they signed up for its Platinum Level, chose older jets, flew qualifying roundtrips and booked in advance. What’s more, their money would come in the form of a credit to a Mastercard or VISA debit card meaning they could use it like cash for purchases at any place that accepted the two global payment systems. It offered guaranteed availability and fixed one-way prices and even started selling its program on Amazon.
Jeffrey Mihalic is the new boss at Delta Private Jets, coming from another subsidiary of parent Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines has apparently put a new CEO in place at its Delta Private Jets subsidiary, something that was seemingly done without a press release, and marks the second change since June 2017 when then boss David Sneed exited the top spot. We only picked it up when we noticed a new leader being quoted when Delta Private Jets announced its partnership with Madison Square Garden. A quick check of Delta Private Jets’ website shows Jeffrey Mihalic is indeed now listed as president and CEO, but we couldn’t find any press releases about the news.
The managed fleet jet card provider continues the trend of private jet companies partnering for exposure in high-profile sports venues
According to a press release, The Madison Square Garden Company and Delta Private Jets have inked a multi-year partnership that names Delta Private Jets as the exclusive naming partner of Madison Square Garden’s Event Level Suites. Delta Private Jets is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, one of Madison Square Garden’s longtime Signature Partners.
