Worldwide private jet flight activity is flat compared to 2022 for the past four weeks as the industry continues to buck the bears.
Worldwide private jet flight activity (74,321 segments) increased by 3% week-to-week, putting it just Week 41 last year.
The weekly update from WingX shows over the past four weeks (293,556 flights), global private jet flying is even with 2022.
WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says, “Business jet activity now appears to have realigned with flight activity in 2022, suggesting that demand has now found an equilibrium after deflating in the last 12 months compared to the Covid-related surge.”
In the United States, the 53,211 flights for the week ending Oct. 15, 2023, was a 5% week-to-week increase but 3% below 2022.
However, the 206,354 segments during the trailing four weeks was only a 1% decrease.
Despite a 6% drop week-to-week, Europe (11,556 segments) was just 1% under 2022 levels.
The 50,481 flights represented a 2% decline during the past month.
