U.S. private jet flight activity is ‘slowing fast’ in September says WingX Managing Director Richard Koe.
Worldwide private jet flight activity in Week 37 (69,441 segments) gained 3% from the previous week, 6% down from 2023.
U.S. private flights (45,962 segments) were up 4% sequentially and down 7% year-over-year.
“Bizjet flight activity is slowing fast in the U.S. this month. The declines derive from waning demand in the smaller end of the market, particularly older entry-level and midsize jets,” says WingX Managing Director Richard Koe.
Of the busiest trio of U.S. states, Florida (4,223 departures) saw the smallest loss year-over-year dip, down 1%.
California flights were down 9% compared to Week 37 last year.
They now trail 2023 by 4% over the past four weeks.
Europe (12,465 departures) was up 2% sequentially and down 2% year-over-year.
European flights were 3% down year-over-year over the past four weeks.
