For the second time in three months NetJets has set a record for private jet flying in North America.
NetJets said it set a record for “highest demand day ever” on the Sunday following Thanksgiving.
According to a post on social media, the world’s largest private jet operator wrote:
‘Historically, the Sunday after Thanksgiving is one of the days with our highest flight demand annually. This year, history repeated itself as we saw our highest demand day ever, depicted in this video. Thank you to our dedicated employees and crews for helping connect our owners with what matters most this holiday—all while maintaining our unwavering focus on safety and service’
Its President, Patrick Gallagher, added, “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly over the holiday to safely serve our owners. Here’s to carrying this momentum through the rest of the holiday season!”
The post included a map of NetJets’ flight movements on Dec. 1, 2024.
Not all comments tied the record to the Thanksgiving holiday.
One poster wrote, “Pretty incredible, and I see a few of those flights flying out of College Station first thing Sunday morning after the huge Texas Longhorns victory!!!!”
The University of Texas beat its rival 17-to-7 to earn a berth in the SEC Championship Game and clear a possible run to a national title.
Just last month, Gallagher posted that Oct. 27 set the record for the busiest day.
In October, NetJets took delivery of its 50th new OEM aircraft this year.
It also broke ground on a new dedicated terminal in Las Vegas.
However, parent Berkshire Hathaway’s Q3 financial results showed that increased costs are pressuring profit margins despite increased revenues.
