Lower daily minimums and fewer peak days are enhancing the usefulness of jet cards for less flexible and short leg flyers.
Jet card peak days fell to their lowest level since 2020 while jet card average hourly rates increased, according to the latest quarterly analysis of key jet card and membership policies and pricing by Private Jet Card Comparisons.
With peak-day booking deadlines ranging as far out as two weeks, rates not guaranteed in some cases, surcharges up to 100%, the ability to shift departures by as much as plus or minus four hours from the requested time, the reduction in peak days reflects that jet cards are becoming more competitive for flyers who need flexibility.
According to our analysis of North American jet card programs with guaranteed availability and fixed or capped hourly rates, the average hourly rate at the end of Q1 2025 was $11,147.
That includes 7.5% Federal Excise Tax and current fuel surcharges as applicable.
Excluding turboprops, the average hourly rate was $11,519.
The average hourly rate by aircraft category was:

Average hourly jet card rates were up 0.9% from Q4 of 2024.
Excluding turboprops, the average hourly rates increased by 1.2% sequentially.
Average hourly rates are 25.8% higher than December 2019, before Covid.
The U.S. Inflation Calculator says overall inflation was up 26.0% over the same period.
If it feels like jet card prices have increased more than that, your gut feeling is correct.
They are 32.6% higher than at the end of 2020 when the CARES Act waived the 7.5% Federal Excise Tax.

For those who took advantage of FET-free offers, jet card inflation probably didn’t hit you until 2022 or even 2023.
In Q1 2025, Midsize Jets saw the most significant average increase, with hourly rates up 3.1%.
Light Jets were up 2.8% from the end of 2024.
Turboprops saw the most considerable decrease, down 1.2% in the first 90 days of 2025.
Compared to pre-Covid Q4 2019, Light Jet and Turboprop rates were up the most, by 37.9%
The smallest increases were in the Large Cabin and Ultra Long Haul Jet hourly rates, up 16.6% and 13.8%, respectively.
If average prices are a sore spot, daily minimums are a happy place.
Daily minimums—the minimum amount you are charged daily—have dipped to their lowest point since we started tracking them.
At just 80.8 minutes, they are now lower than Q4 of 2020 (table below).

Light Jets (67.7 minutes) and Midsize Jets (76.3 minutes stayed essentially flat.
However, Super Midsize and Large Cabin flyers saw significant decreases.
Daily MInimums dropped 6.8% from Q4 2024.
Every category saw a drop:

Returning to Q4 of 2019, Light Jet Daily Minimums are down 13.4%.
Only Large Cabin Jets were up over that period, 5.2% more.
Perhaps the most significant change so far in 2025 was the drop in Peak Days.
Peak Days dropped to 35.4 days at the end of Q1 2025.
That’s down from 44.6 days at the end of 2024.
It also compares to the peak of 55.7 Peak Days at the end of 2022.

That’s 36.4% less than at the end of 2022.
Of course, if you prefer the glass half empty, Peak Days are still 55.3% above the end of 2019 before Covid.
Either way, fewer Peak Days mean fewer surcharges, shorter callouts, and a lower chance of your flight departure time being shifted.
If Jet Card sellers are trying to hold rates, Callouts are another area where they seem unwilling to return to pre-Covid rules.
The average Non-Peak Callout held steady at 65.7 hours before departure.
That’s essentially where the minimum booking window has been for the last four quarters.

Callouts are also down marginally from their 2023 peak of 69.3 hours.

The average Callout was 23.2 hours, with many programs going as low as six, eight, 10, or 12 hours.
However, by requiring jet card clients to book two to three days before departure to get contracted rates, providers are giving themselves a bigger window for sourcing.
