Private Jet Flight Activity Analysis – 2025 – Week 14

Strong European private jet flight activity, up 12% compared to 2024, offset a U.S. decline to keep Week 15 flat on a year-over-year basis.

By Doug Gollan, April 10, 2025

Week 14’s global private jet flight activity (70,488 segments) was flat compared to last year and down 1% sequentially after seeing gains in 12 of the first 13 weeks of 2025.

However, European fight activity (+12%) year-over-year offset losses in the United States, which saw a 3% drop compared to 2024.

Despite the down week, Wing X Managing Director Richard Koe notes, “Between the date of the U.S. presidential election in November 2024 and today, U.S. business jet flights were up by 4%, compared to the previous years’ same period.”

He adds, “An uptick in transatlantic corporate flight department travel may have been linked to tariff policy changes. We shall have to wait to see the impact in Europe as this week was affected by comparison with the Easter holidays last year.”

A 5% drop in Florida dragged U.S. flights (48,339 segments), the country’s largest market, which saw 7,920 departures.

Europe’s big gain (9,249 departures for the week) moved it into the black over the trailing four weeks, currently 2% ahead of the same period in 2024.

The Middle East (+16%) and South America (+12%) contributed to keeping the global market in the black.
