Gains by Spain (+5.3%), Italy (+3.8%) and France (+1.1%) helped push European private jet flights higher during the first half of 2025.
European private jet flights increased 0.3% year-over-year during the first six months of 2025.
The demand for private aviation comes despite efforts to increase taxes and restrict business aviation across Europe.
According to data from Wing X, France remained the largest market for private jet flying.
There were 41,127 departures through June.
That represents a 1.1% increase year-over-year.
Overall, Frances accounted for 16.2% of Europe’s private jet segments.
Spain experienced the largest percentage gain among the 10 largest European private jet markets.
Its 5.3% year-over-year increase saw 25,385 segments.
Spain ranked fifth.
The United Kingdom remained in second place with 36,635 segments, a 0.6% increase.

Third-ranked Italy (29,653 segments) experienced strong growth, increasing by 3.8% year-over-year.
Fourth-ranked Germany saw the biggest decline in the top 10.
Its 29,328 segments represented a 6.9% dip.
Switzerland, with 19,530 departures, experienced a 1.5% decrease.
Austria was down 3.3% year-over-year.
However, Sweden’s 7,328 segments represented a 0.7% year-over-year increase.
Greece (6,281 segments) and the Netherlands (5,554) rounded out the top 10 European private jet markets, despite a 3% dip in activity.
The overall 0.3% increase in segments comes as the active fleet increased by 2.0%.
Breaking it down, WingX notes, “Management fleets are responsible for a third of activity, although departures are 5% behind H1 of last year.”
However, fractional fleets saw a 6% year-over-year increase.
