Fractional private jet operator Flexjet is teasing a ‘monumental’ fleet announcement.

The posts on LinkedIn and Instagram lead to a landing page on its website featuring an aircraft draped in a golden covering.

On Instagram, Flexjet states, “Making history often requires brave, bold action that profoundly changes how people view the world.”

It continues, “This monumental addition to Flexjet’s advanced fractional fleet will change your view faster than ever before.”

The landing page adds, “History favors the bold.”

A countdown clock as of today indicates the reveal date as 70 days in the future.

That infers we need to wait until September 16, 2025.

Speculation on Instagram is that it will be for the unveiling of its first Gulfstream G700.

The second-largest U.S. fractional/charter operator already operates Gulfstream G650 and G450 private jets.

The latest FAA registry of operators and aircraft approved to fly under Part 135 also has something new for Flexjet.

N100FX, Serial Number 87041, was added as of today’s monthly update from the FAA and is a G700.

That aligns with online speculation that follows Flexjet’s teaser posts.

According to Flight Radar, N100FX has been busy.

Since mid-June, it has flown three roundtrips between the U.S. and Europe.

Flexjet announced its G700 order during NBAA in 2019.

Qatar Executive, which announced an order at the same time, accepted delivery of its first two G700s in May 2024.

Earlier this year, Flexjet placed a firm order with Embraer for 182 private jets, along with options for an additional 30.

It currently has 314 tails on the FAA register, with about 15 more in Europe.

Flexjet Growth Plans

During the Embraer order announcement, Flexjet executives said they expected their fleet to grow to over 600 aircraft by early next decade.

According to Jefferies, Flexjet’s departures last month were 197% higher than in June 2019, before the COVID-19 demand surge.

One clear thing is that Flexjet is not the mystery buyer of 50 Bombardier jets if that announcement is to be believed.

Bombardier stated its order was from a first-time customer.

Flexjet already offers Challenger 3500 derivatives and has several Global jets from the Canadian OEM.

A Flexjet spokesperson declined to comment on the social media posts.
