Gulfstream bumped Bombardier as the most used large private jet in 2020 while holding onto the top spot in super long-range private jets, according to Argus TRAQPak
Textron Aviation’s Citation Excel/XLS, Mustang, and King Air 200 were the most flown aircraft in their respective categories
Gulfstream Aerospace had the most popular large cabin and super long-range private jets in 2020, according to just-released data from Argus TRAQPak.
At the same time, Textron Aviation saw three of its business aircraft take the top spot in three of the eight categories. Its Beechcraft King Air 200 was the most flown multi-engine turboprop. The Cessna Citation Mustang was the most popular very light jet. Its Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ won the midsize private jet category.

No doubt, many of those involved in manufacturing private jets recall fondly 2008. That’s when the industry delivered 1,317 new business jets. It was an increase from 2007’s then-record mark of 1,137 new private jets delivered. That busted the 2006 numbers, also a then-record of 887 units delivered.
With the Great Recession, deliveries of new private jets dropped to 874 units in 2009, even more to 767 in 2010, then 696 in 2011, before bottoming out in 2012 at 672 aircraft.
The jet card broker is making it a December to remember with its private jet gift box
Boston-based jet card and private jet charter broker Magellan Jets, which has in the past promoted jet cards for college tours, this holiday is suggesting giving private jet travel as the perfect stocking stuffer.
Unlike the iconic “December to Remember” marketing campaign (below) from Lexus, the give of private jet flying will fit in your living room but take you to 40,000 feet.
Boston-based jet card broker Magellan Jets remade its program earlier this year eliminating peak day surcharges and adding the Embraer Phenom 300
In early May Magellan Jets surprised some in the industry when it re-launched its jet card program mid-year. Its new Elevate program includes a 30-day trial period that doesn’t start until after your first flight.
