Airshare has launched a second TV ad targeting Wheels Up in its campaign to win over business travelers

The bad blood and sniping between NetJets and Flexjet may have competition. Or at least, that could be the result as Lenexa, Kansas-based Airshare, launched a second television spot attacking larger rival Wheels Up.

In the email to customers, NetJets also called the list of private aviation companies receiving CARES Act funds “eye-opening”

Private jet short-hops on select aircraft this summer just got cheaper. In an email to its fractional shareowners and jet cardholders, NetJets said it is eliminating the 60-minute minimums for flights. There is no daily minimum. The waiver is valid for the life of your jet card, and on peak days as well.

In a list dated April 27th, the U.S. Department of the Treasury published names of 96 companies receiving some of the $32 billion earmarked to preserve aviation jobs. The list includes both airlines and private jet operators.

The act specified grants needed to be based on payroll expenses from April 2019 through September 2019, subject to proration. Funds must be used for the continuation of payment of employee wages, salaries, and benefits.
