The world’s largest private jet operator is cutting the price for short flights on light and midsize aircraft

In the email to customers, NetJets also called the list of private aviation companies receiving CARES Act funds “eye-opening”

Private jet short-hops on select aircraft this summer just got cheaper. In an email to its fractional shareowners and jet cardholders, NetJets said it is eliminating the 60-minute minimums for flights. There is no daily minimum. The waiver is valid for the life of your jet card, and on peak days as well.

As the economy begins to reopen and NetJets plans to bring employees back into its offices, it has continued its efforts to bring needed medical supplies to first responders.  

Today, in a letter to customers, NetJets said it has also secured tests and set procedures for testing 100% of crewmembers and other employees for COVID-19.

The new private jets replace previous offerings for the Falcon 2000 and Citation X

Last month we reported NetJets restructured its jet card program eliminating fuel surcharges and cutting prices.

It also added jet cards with the Cessna Citation Latitude and Bombardier’s Challenger 350 and 650 in both its Classic Card (nee Marquis Jet) and Elite Card formats.

As more and more airlines cut back on their flight schedules due to government restrictions and plummeting demand, NetJets and other private aviation providers continue to offer critical links in these challenging times.

In an update posted yesterday on its website, the world’s largest private jet operator wrote, “The COVID-19 pandemic has created a constantly changing landscape at NetJets. We will continue to issue operational updates as they become available, but we wanted to take a moment to provide reassurance that we are taking all necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus and continue to keep our owners and our employees safe.”

Last night’s Trump Travel Ban forbidding foreign nationals from entering the United States for 30 days starting tomorrow at midnight is likely to force the airlines to cancel more trans-Atlantic flights.

The directive, issued during an Oval Office address from President Donald J. Trump, bans foreign nationals from Europe’s 26 Schengen countries from entering the U.S. It also bans other foreigners who have visited any of the countries 14 days prior attempting entry into the U.S. The ban is set to last 30 days.
