What's The Truth Behind JetSmarter?

JetSmarter has made splashy headlines in the private aviation space. It’s been called the Uber of private jets. It claims to be a Unicorn, a privately held company with a valuation of over $1 billion. On the surface, it seems like a great deal.

There are a number of membership options beginning under $10,000 per year and ranging up to $40,000. You then get to fly on private jet shuttles for free as well as take empty legs for free, in some cases getting the entire plane.

It sounds like a great deal, however, there are also a rising number of customer complaints, a senior executive recently resigned after he was alleged to have committed fraud in a previous company, and executives in the industry are still pondering if it has a viable business model. Read more…
