Santa Monica Airport Moving To Reduce Runway Length

Private jet flights are expected to fall 40% after Santa Monica Airport reduces its runway is reduced to 3,500 feet.

Popular private jet airport Sand Monica Airport in Los Angeles County will see its runway reduced to 3,500 feet from 4,973 feet at the expense of $4 million. It is part of a plan by the City of Santa Monica to close the airport completely by 2028. The move, if it goes through, will reduce jet movments by 40%. Earlier this year JetSuiteX had announced plans to started scheduled flights from the airport, however, the flights never started.
