With President Trump on the move with his two VC-25A jumbo jets supporting his nine-day trip to the Middle East and Europe, you may be wondering what other world leaders fly.

Air Charter Service, a company that organizes government, private jet and cargo charters answered that question by sending us their analysis of the private jets and helicopters at the call of various world leaders.

By the way, the two VC-25As (they are highly modified versions of a Boeing 747-200) that are called Air Force One when the American President is aboard, are the oldest (over 25 years) of the leaders that Air Charter Service looked at. Frenemy Vladimir Putin has 68 airplanes and 64 helicopters at his disposal.

Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani uses at least 10 airplanes for government trips, according to Air Charter Service which estimates his fleet is valued at $1.5 billion and his typical delegation is often 1,000 people.

Less grand is the Airbus A330 that British Prime Minister Theresa May uses. While there are private executive areas it seats up to 160. General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping is the least fussy. He uses two Air China 747-400s converted for his use before trips

Putin’s IL-96-300PU has an advanced communication system on board that allows the aircraft to act as a management center capable of carrying out the prompt commandment of troops in case of unexpected conflict, Air Charter says. The cabin is “lavishly decorated with tapestries and gold accents. The furniture and interior décor are finished in the neoclassical style.” In addition to an office, shower, and bedroom there is a fully-equipped gym.

The American VC-25A serves is also equipped to serve as a White House in the air. It includes a fully functional operating room. Nancy Reagan designed the original interior in a Southwestern theme. President Trump’s private space includes a bedroom, shower, bathroom, gym, and offices. At over 3,800 sq. ft. it is about 50 percent larger than the typical American house. Each plane can carry 70 passengers with 26 crew.
