On-demand private jet charter broker and jet card seller PrivateFly says Los Angeles is its busiest U.S. destination for its customers. Overall, for the first quarter of 2018 London and Paris were first and second.
According to the latest edition of Private Fly’s Private Jet Charter Trends, which looks at the booking and flying behavior of its global private jet customers, there were over 100,000 flight searches per month on its website and app.
Geoff Villano, Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at PrivateFly said, “Los Angeles has always been a strong private jet market in the U.S. Its recent rise to prominence in PrivateFly’s global top three marks a shift that reflects its economic importance, as well as PrivateFly’s growth in the region. Its role as an epicenter of sports, entertainment, culture and business make Los Angeles a natural pivot point.”
The most popular U.S. route overall for PrivateFly travelers was Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The company said the charter price for a Phenom 100 for the route is about $6,000. To fly on a Gulfstream GIV that typically holds at least 13 passengers, the one-way price is approximately $13,000.
For long distance flights, the most trafficked route for PrivateFly is between New York and Los Angeles. It says for a Hawker 800 with eight seats, the charter price is $46,000 one-way approximately. Other options include the Challenger 300 seating eight passengers at $60,000. For a Gulfstream model G450 or G550 get ready to pay $90,000 to $110,000.
The company offers a deposit jet card featuring dynamic pricing meaning that PrivateFly will quote pricing for each trip base don market rates. The key benefit is not having to transfer funds in advance of each trip.
