Flexjet, one of the largest fleet operators in the world, which sells fractional shares, leases, custom programs and jet cards has announced its planned hospitality and promotions during The Masters week at Augusta Regional Airport.
Flexjet said the Masters, with tournament play occurring April 11-14, surpasses the Super Bowl and the Kentucky Derby as the most favored sports event destination for its private jet travelers, and the company said it expects record travel to Augusta this year. Augusta Regional Airport is expected to see around 3,000 private jet landings and takeoffs during the week, Flexjet said.
“At The Masters, our Owners are often reconnecting with family or entertaining clients or business partners, so they look to us to provide the world’s most personalized and well-executed private air travel experience,” said Flexjet chief operations officer Megan Wolf in a press release. She added, “We take pride in bringing exclusive experiences to our Owners, and we understand the importance of paying fanatical attention to detail with our genuine hospitality, ground services and the smoothest possible post-tournament return home.”
Keeping customers insulated from the fray of other private aircraft and passengers, Wolf said Flexjet’s presence at Augusta Regional Airport (ICAO: KAGS) will match the levels of service and hospitality that its customers would experience at its exclusive private terminals currently open in Naples, Palm Beach and Westchester County, with a Dallas Love Field location in the works.
This year’s theme for the ramp-side lounge will be “Wood and Iron,” celebrating the heritage of golf. The Flexjet hospitality team will be serving a variety of cocktails including a gin and tonic station, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages as well as a high-protein snack bar to fuel a long day at the course. Flexjet customers will receive arrival and departure gifts to help put them in the Masters’ spirit, remember their experience and ensure they return home refreshed, the company said
For fun, Flexjet will offer a Par 2 putt-putt course down the center of a Red Label by Flexjet Challenger 350 aircraft cabin on static display at Augusta Regional Airport. Owners can practice their putting and win prizes for making par. The Challenger 350 is part of the premium Red Label by Flexjet offering, which includes the fractional industry’s most modern fleet, dedicated flight crews and the LXi Cabin Collection of artisan interiors.
“One of the perks of flying privately is that our (customers) can book their flights with as little as 10 hours’ notice and, sometimes, on demand, giving them maximum flexibility,” said Wolf. “We are expecting a very strong fly-in for this year’s Masters based on the high demand we have seen around all holidays and major sporting events so far this year, as well as record utilization of our fleet last year.”
