Jet card broker Alliance Aviation is promoting travel to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian

Start-up jet card broker Alliance Aviation is joining the push by business aviation to help in the recovery of the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

The National Business Aviation Association reported during the storm, “FBOs across Florida are getting flights coordinated for when they are cleared into the Bahamas, and many are using hangars as staging areas for supplies.”

It noted, “At Signature Flight Support at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), station manager Jose Cabrera and his team have established a collection point for supplies at FBO, while Jet Access Aviation has donated aircraft and crew for the crossing to the islands. Local companies and organizations – including Yum Brands, the Christ Fellowship of Palm Beach and the Palm Beach Department of Airports – have donated food, water, and other essentials.”

Of course, after disasters such as Dorian, a second crisis takes place when visitor numbers drop to nearby areas that weren’t impacted. In the case of the Bahamas, 60% of GDP comes from tourism, yet 90% of upscale hotel rooms remain open and ready for visitors.

Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is a recommended hotel by Alliance Aviation. The company offers full-service concierge and travel services for its jet card members. Alliance is also waiving its international surcharge for new members who fly to the Bahamas.

Last week, Alliance launched a dedicated Phenom 300 jet card priced at $6,995 per hour starting at 25 hours with a first flight free offer.
