NetJets donates a portion of purchases from its (RED) Marquis Jet Card to support prevention, treatment, counseling, HIV testing, and care services

NetJets has reached a donation total of over $2 million to the Global Fund, the recipient of all (RED) monies, according to an update on its website.

Donations come from sales of the (NetJets) RED Card. Through the partnership with (RED), founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage businesses and people in the fight to end AIDS, monies help ensure that people living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa have access to lifesaving medications and treatments amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

NetJets invested in supporting the fight against AIDS and the Global Fund’s COVID-19 Response, which is helping to mitigate the overwhelming impact of COVID-19 on the AIDS fight.

“We were all challenged this year by the pandemic, and we are incredibly impressed by (RED)’s response. This partnership exceeded all expectations, and we are grateful to have been able to contribute to their mission in such an impactful way,” said Patrick Gallagher, president of NetJets.

(RED) president and chief operating officer Jennifer Lotito added, “We are so grateful to NetJets for their partnership and generous donation. The more than $2 million donated to the Global Fund will do so much to help improve health systems, and ultimately save lives, at a time when support is so badly needed. Our thanks to everyone at NetJets and also those who chose to purchase the (NetJets) RED Card in 2020.”

The (NetJets) RED Card is a rebrand of the former X-Cross-Country Card. Members get a mission capable super-midsize aircraft for flights over 3.5 hours. For shorter flights, you get a Citation XLS midsize jet. Members are charged the same hourly rate for long and short flights. You can use all of your hours for longer flights. Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Mexico are included in the primary service area. Terms are based on Elite Cards, so a 24-hour non-peak call-out and 45 peak days.
