Tradewind Aviation is cutting the four-to-five-hour drive between Westchester County and Newport, Rhode Island to 40-minutes in the air. Beginning July 2, it will offer by-the-seat flights using private jet terminals aboard its fleet of Pilatus PC-12s. According to its website, tickets are priced from $145 each way.
A key benefit is arriving just 30 minutes before your flight, and using the FBO lounge instead of traversing through the main passenger terminals. Complimentary self-parking is also available at HPN.
The schedule which runs through October calls for two to six flights per week in each direction, with double daily flights on select Sundays.
Tradewind also offers by-the-seat flights to Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Stowe, Vermont from Westchester County. Additionally, it flies to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket from Teterboro.
If you want the entire eight-seat PC-12 for your party, Tradewind offers on-demand charters, plus an as-available jet card. Its fleet also includes Citation CJ3 light jets.
