North American private jet activity was off 1.0% for the week ending Sept. 19, 2021 (Week 37) compared to the previous week (Week 36), but still 8.0% ahead of the same period in 2019.
In total, for the week, there were 51,117 business jet flights in North America, including VIP airlines. There were 202,036 flights over the past four weeks, a 10% gain over the same period in 2019.
According to data from WingX (below), within North America, the U.S. accounted for 92.8% of business aviation departures. It was up 13.0% compared to the same week in 2019, slightly below the 13.5% pre-pandemic gain for the past four weeks.
Florida, California, and Texas each showed week-over-week drops. However, compared to pre-pandemic numbers, Florida was 42.0% ahead of the same week in 2019 and is up 37.0% over the past four weeks.

While European business jet flight activity was down 1.0% on a week-over-week basis, they were up 28.0% compared to the same week in 2019 and the same percentage over the past four weeks.
The U.K. (+5.0%) and Germany (+2.0%) both saw week-over-week gains. Italy (-11.0%), France (-8.5%), and Switzerland (-2.0%) each saw week-over-week drops. However, all five countries were ahead of the 2019 private jet flight activity by double digits.
Flights in Africa were up 7.0% week-over-week and 79.0% ahead of 2019 numbers for the same week. Middle East private jet lights were off 4.0%, while business jet flights in Asia dipped 3.0%.
