With Sustainable Aviation Fuel still limited, private jet charter broker Victor customers can buy SAF to be used on other flights.
U.K.-based on-demand private jet charter broker Victor has figured out a way to increase usage of Sustainable Aviation Fuel despite its limited distribution.
The program with Neste enables Victor to offer SAF to all of its charter customers for every flight booked regardless of operator or departure airport.
When booking a charter, Victor’s customers can choose how much fossil fuel they want to replace with Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Options range from as little as 5% up to 100%.
Neste ensures specific SAF volumes purchased by Victor members are delivered and used by partner aircraft operators, providing real climate benefits and greenhouse gas emission reductions of up to 80%.
Customers and Victor get credit for the SAF usage.
“Our pioneering partnership could create a SAF blueprint for the fragmented business aviation sector and help accelerate its wider usage across the aviation industry,” says Toby Edwards, Co-CEO at Victor.
According to 4Air, only seven locations in Europe currently provide SAF. In the U.S., the private aviation sustainability specialist says there are only two locations east of the Mississippi.
“It is an industry-leading blueprint that we hope other companies will follow as the aviation sector strives for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050,” says Jonathan Wood, Vice President of Europe, Renewable Aviation, at Neste.
