U.S. private jet flights dipped 3% in Week 45, accounting for 48,808 segments, 7% below 2021, although just 1% down for the past four weeks. yea
With 9,735 flights, Europe had a 2% week-to-week bump, but volume was still 15% below the same period in 2021.
Over the past month, European private jet departures were 17% below last year’s.

Those numbers looked good compared to Europe, where charter and fractional flights were 22% under 2021.
Asia did buck the red with an 8% week-to-week gain, 22% ahead of 2021.
For a silver lining, so far in November, despite the declines, activity is 10% ahead of 2019’s pre-pandemic volume.
Summing it up, Richard Koe, MD of WingX, says, “The post-pandemic rebound in business aviation is taking on regional characteristics with the U.S. market holding onto most of its gains, European demand visibly sliding back, although we see record transatlantic connections.”
He continues, “There is also strong growth persisting in other regions of the world, notably in Africa and parts of Asia.”
If you are a jet card or on-demand flyer, Koe notes, “The charter market, red hot for much of the last 18 months, is clearly tapering.”
