The by-the-seat private jet operator Aero is adding flights for the ski market from London to Switzerland.
Aero is adding flights from London’s Farnborough Airport to Sion (SIR) in Switzerland, starting Dec. 31.
The twice-weekly flights run through March and are targeted at flyers headed to Gstaad and Verbier.
They are in addition to Aero’s London-Geneva flights and scheduled services between the British capital and Nice, France.
“As we approach the beginning of the ski season and begin to make winter holiday plans, by offering direct flights to Sion and Geneva almost daily, Aero will permit access to some of the most desired ski resorts in both Switzerland and France,” according to an Aero spokesperson.
She adds, “Passengers can reach the likes of Verbier, Crans Montana, and Chambery in under an hour, and Gstaad, Zermatt Saas-Fee, and Meribel in under two. Aero will provide semi-private air travel on a regular basis like never before, allowing clients to travel effortlessly to the French and Swiss Alps through the winter.”
Aero’s scheduled services use private terminals, meaning customers avoid crowded airports.
The new Sion flights start at £1,800 one-way.
The European flights are in addition to its North American network.
It currently links Aspen, Los Cabos, and Sun Valley from private terminals in Los Angeles (Van Nuys and LAX) and San Francisco.
