Labor Day in America pushes private jet flight activity above 2022 levels in Week 36.
Private jet flight activity worldwide (71,461 flights) surged 8% week-to-week, boosted by the Labor Day holiday in the U.S.
That was good enough to beat 2022’s numbers for the week ending Sept. 10, 2023, by 2%, according to WingX.
Over the past four weeks, global private jet flying (274,826 segments) was just 3% under 2022 levels.
U.S. private jet flights (49,254 flights) surged 13% from the previous week and were 3% above 2022’s numbers
Florida (4,574 flights) saw a 26% week-to-week gain, 4% higher than last year.
However, for perspective, the Sunshine State was still down 7% during the past four weeks compared to 2022.
European private jet flights (13,182 departures) were down 6% week-to-week and 8% compared to 2022.

Fractional and charter operators saw a 7% week-to-week boost (37,010 segments) in departures, 3% above last year.
Still, they were 2% under 2022, looking back over the trailing four weeks.
The U.S. accounted for 25,468 charter and fractional segments, a 14% gain from Week 35 and 5% above last year.
Despite that, the U.S. was 2% down during the past four weeks.
