Worldwide private jet flight activity in Week 48 saw a 4% week-to-week increasing, 6% under last year’s level for the same period.
Powered by a 4% week-to-week increase, global private jet flight activity surged to 66,376 segments, according to WingX data for the period ending Dec. 3, 2023.
Even though those totals were 6% under World Cup boosted Week 48 in 2022, looking back at the trailing four weeks, flying (275,166 flights) was equal to last year.
“Business jet activity was 3% short of the November 2021 high, still 23% above pre-pandemic November 2019,” WingX Managing Director Richard Koe tells Private Jet Card Comparisons.
Scheduled passenger airline sectors recovered to within 7% of November four years ago, 16% ahead of last year.
Dedicated cargo operator activity fell 5% compared to last November. That was 8% ahead of November 2019.
The U.S. saw weekly flights (47,501 segments) increase by 6%, a dip of 9% from 2022.
Europe (8,835 flights) edged up 2% week-to-week, just 2% below last year.

For charter and fractional operators (32,660 segments), despite a 6% week-to-week decline, activity remained flat over the past four weeks compared to last year.
In the U.S., the charter and fractional operators flew 104,021 segments, a 1% gain over 2022 during the trailing four weeks.
