Despite ending 2023 on a down note, worldwide private jet flight activity remained just under 2022’s levels.

By Doug Gollan, January 4, 2024

Global private jet flight activity took a downward dip as 2023 ended. In Week 51, worldwide private jet flight activity (61,466 segments) fell 12% from the prior week. Week 52 (58,018) saw a further 6% decline week-to-week.

Week 51 was flat to 2022, while Week 52 was down 5% year-over-year.

3.4% Annual Growth

After a down, up, and now down trend, the fog is perhaps clearing a bit.

Adding in turboprop flights, WingX Managing Director Richard Koes says there were 5.1 private aviation flights flown in 2023.

That was 3% fewer than in 2022 and 15% more than during pre-pandemic 2019.

Put together, it represents an annual growth rate of 3.4% over the four years.

Europe and North America accounted for 92% of global activity in 2023.
